Reaction to week 1 reading

The text "Video Online" was very interesting to read. It gave me many ideas on how video can be used with the students. The focus was on videos about authentic content and videos produced by the students. These are two very interesting types of the usage of video in education. One because it provides for authentic input, thus creating in the student a sense for the language use in real contexts. The other one because it involves students directly in the tasks that allow developing not only linguistic skills but also other skills like social, cognitive and technological skills.
The extensive list of links and suggestions on how to make effective use of video in the classroom were very interesting and helpful. Personally, I found the idea of combining video with Hotpotatoes very interesting. Definitely a text to read again and again whenever I feel I don't know exactly what to do.
